Supporting faculty and administrative excellence

University Effectiveness and Accreditation supports Indiana University's commitment to academic excellence, institutional effectiveness, and faculty achievement by:

  • Supporting the Academic Leadership Council (ALC) and its affiliated partners, including:
    • FACET (Faculty Academy on Excellence in Teaching), which promotes excellence in teaching and learning.
    • University Academic Planning, which supports ALC's approval of new degree and certificate programs and modifications to existing academic programs as well as state requirements for academic programs.
    • Elements, Indiana University's faculty activity and reporting system that supports faculty success and institutional reporting.
    • University Honors and Awards, which recognizes exceptional faculty accomplishments in research, teaching, service, and engagement.
  • Facilitating Administrative Review of university units and campus leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness and foster continuous improvement.
  • Promoting compliance, transparency, and accountability through the development, implementation, and stewardship of University Policies.

Through these efforts, University Effectiveness and Accreditation helps advance a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across Indiana University.
